MBPM graduates will acquire knowledge of contemporary project, program and portfolio management as well as leadership and high level professional skills and attitude. The emphasis is on the enhancement of specific professional capabilities and knowledge, undertaken in a combination of coursework and research, and the acquisition of leadership and communication skills needed to lead complex project and program endeavours and deliver optimum results.
One of the most significant aspects of the course design and objectives is the emphasis placed on development of strategic and business expertise associated with projects, programs and organisations. Another unique aspect of the MBPM course is its integrated approach to management of projects, programs, portfolios and business ventures. Our models based on more than 30 years of research and fieldwork in this field provide the best framework for the development of the next generation of managers and leaders in this field.
Delivery Method
Each unit of study typically comprises of workshops followed by project studies that involve completion of 4 major team assignments. The assignments are conducted on real life projects/programs and or organisations where feasible. Students receive expert support during their project studies. The final assessment for each unit of study takes place upon completion of the project studies. The whole process is facilitated through mentoring and state-of-the-art frameworks, systems and tools.
