Event management is an exhilarating industry where many players come together to achieve a successful event. You will develop skills in how to plan, market, implement and evaluate an event from start to finish – essential to event management – as well as how to select an appropriate venue, coordinate catering and exceed the expectations of the client. Combined with studies in human resources and risk management, you will develop all the necessary skills to deliver exceptional projects. You will graduate ready to work in the diverse event industry or transition into a Bachelor of Business (Event Management) degree.

Event management professionals are constantly in demand to plan and manage events, ranging from conferences and conventions to music festivals and product launches. This course introduces you to this exhilarating industry through a variety of hands-on practical learning experiences.

Learn how to plan, market, implement and evaluate an event from start to finish, while also acquiring management skills such as human resources and risk management. You will also understand event concepts and how to select the right venue, coordinate the food and beverage service and exceed the expectations of the client, to deliver exceptional projects.

Entry Requirements

  • International students require an IELTS 5.5 with no skills band less than 5.0.
  • Minimum 18 years of age prior to course commencement with completion of Senior High School Certificate (Year 12) or equivalent or Mature age entry with relevant work experience.

Course Study Requirements

On campus: Timetabled 20 Hours per week Full Time. 10 hours per week of self-directed study
