Learning how to effectively manage the combined resources required to create a successful event is a skill that can see you advance in hospitality, tourism, marketing, public relations or advertising. By studying for a Bachelor of Business (Event Management), you will learn industry skills in project, strategic and event management, as well as how to effectively use marketing and public relations resources to confidently manage and run large-scale events. You will acquire valuable knowledge in event policy, strategy, risk, logistics, consumer behaviour, applied finance and business law that will allow you to achieve your goals. As part of the degree program, you will also undertake an industry placement where you will gain valuable, first-hand experience in your chosen profession and receive valuable insights into modern workforce performance and expectations – and develop some of your first industry connections.

Events are one of the most high profile, fast-growing elements of the hospitality industry. The management and coordination of an event is a highly-skilled operation with logistical considerations such as venue hire, catering, safety, transport, audio visual requirements and more. Not only that but you will need to juggle your time effectively and liaise with suppliers, clients and customers alike.

A Bachelor of Business (Event Management) will give you both the educational and practical knowledge in this field and its related areas – marketing, business, and finance – to help you get the job you really want.
